A Guide to Unlocking Cell Phones

For smart phone owners, when the two year contract has expired your carrier still has a grip on you. Unlike before, it was illegal to unlock them, but today, no carrier can deny a request to unlock a user’s phone once the two-year contract is paid up.

To also let you know, there are amazing benefits for an end user to unlock their mobile potential and choose between carriers who own the telecommunication infrastructure, or the MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network operator) also known as (MOLO) Wireless Communication Services. These operators do not own a physical infrastructure but buy bulk access to network services at wholesale rates. They then set retail prices independently. In other words what MVNOs do is to own and manage the operational components only. If a real sense, these network operators are a service company on their own with their own customer service, billing support system, marketing, and sales personnel. They are a focused company that can bring great offer to their clients.

Unlocked cell phones have great benefits to end users that locked devices that are obtained from carriers do not have. If you purchase a locked phone from a local carrier, you will be bound to its network and the subscription fees and the price of the device until your contract expires. It would do you well to choose to unlock your phone after you two year contract has expired so that you can gain the benefits of flexibility in choosing plans that are suitable for your specific needs. It only takes switching different kinds of SIM cars from different carriers so that you can enjoy the different offers they bring on the table. One advantage of having your phone unlocked is that you can have complete coverage wherever you are in the world, anytime, and you only need to buy a local SIM card in that particular places. Even if you are outside your existing network carrier coverage zone, you do not need to worry.

Of course you have to go through with the contract you signed but once the two year period is over, it means that you have initially paid up the cost of the phone. And once your phone is paid up then you can start looking for an upgrade and trade this phone for a much better one or the latest model or a different brand.

You can free yourself once the phone is unlocked from the painful experience of losing your phone. If you lose a phone which is locked and under contract, then you pay for termination fee if the contracted phone is lost.
